Here There Be Dragons

Here there be dragons–

Not the fluffy kind,

With big goofy grins

That don’t breathe fire.

No, these are cruel beasts,

With large ruby eyes,

And razor-sharp teeth

That rip into kids

That wander too close

To their dark lair here.

I will now tell you

What fairy-tales are:

They’re nightmare stories

For little scared fae.

Don’t write dragons off–

They’ll come for you next!

They’ll bust all your bones

In one little crunch

Here there be dragons,

A whole vicious nest!

Beware when you walk,

Lest you be dead next.
