Ode to Rapunzel

Him:

O, what a sweet desire

To climb the tower higher

To take a fist of golden hair

And light the world on fire

Me:

O, what a cruel illusion,

Just a lovely delusion

To think that he would really care

To save me from this prison.

Him:

O, what worthy reason

To thusly commit treason

To break her from that witch’s lair

And end this wintry season

Me:

O, what a handsome laddie

Who climbed up here to help me

Who ran away, not minding where

As long as he was with me
